DESCRIPTION:The Un-Common Theatre Company concludes our 2022-2023 season with our Young Adult Company Production of Cabaret. Daring\, provocative and exuberantly entertaining\, Cabaret explores the dark and heady life of Bohemian Berlin as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. \nIn a Berlin nightclub\, as the 1920’s draw to a close\, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary\, Cabaret explores the dark\, heady\, and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff\, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin\, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile\, Fräulein Schneider\, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house\, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz\, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish. DESCRIPTION:“The Whimsical Artist” by Devin Dichiara\nMay 11 – August 30 at the MRPAC Art Gallery \nFrom a young age\, artist Devin Dichiara has constantly “doodled” about her passion for dragons. In fact\, her graduate thesis was focused on “Abstract Dragons” and one of her professors in college dubbed her “The Whimsical Artist”. Devin’s focus is concentrating on bright\, bold\, and vivid colors in her abstract canvas paintings\, using a multiple array of mixed mediums. \nDevin wants her audience to be entertained and walk away from her art feeling happy\, uplifted and not afraid of bringing some color into their world. She wants to inspire young people to go after their dreams no matter what obstacles they may be facing. \nThis solo show marks Devin’s happy return to the upper lobby art gallery at the MRPAC. She was previously featured in the inaugural installation of the gallery in a shared show when it opened in June 2021. \n

DESCRIPTION:Art in Motion Company dancers will be performing competition routines at this exciting Winter Showcase. The showcase will include all AIM solo\, duo/trios and select group routines that will be competing in Regionals this Spring\, and in Atlantic City this Summer at Nationals! Come and support the dancers before they set out to compete in the 2023 season!

DESCRIPTION:Buy your tickets to Oliver! JR.\, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning show based on Charles Dickens’ novel\, Oliver Twist.\nThe streets of Victorian England come to life when students of the Broad-Y Academy\, ages 6-14\, present the musical Oliver! JR. \nOliver Twist\, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse\, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by their leader\, Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit\, realizes he is not fit for a life of crime\, and discovers the life he was meant to live all along. \nOliver! JR. is full of classic songs like “Consider Yourself“\, “Food Glorious Food“\, and “Oom-Pah-Pah“\, and will showcase the talents of a large ensemble cast. \nMake it a fun outing to the theater with the entire family! \nSaturday\, February 4 at 7:00pm \nSunday\, February 5 at 1:00pm \nTickets start at $8 per person
